Website maintenance and updates
A website is not a one-time purchase you hang on the wall. Prices change, services change, and a site nobody has touched in three years reads like a business that closed.
What maintenance covers
The routine work that keeps a site fast, secure and accurate — plus the small changes you'd otherwise put off for months.
- Content updates: new services, pricing, hours, staff
- Adding recent project photos to your gallery
- Hosting, backups and security updates
- Fixing broken links and forms
- Keeping business information consistent across the site
- Basic performance checks on mobile
Why a stale site quietly costs you work
The most common damage isn't dramatic. A form stops delivering email and nobody notices for two months. A phone number changed and the old one is still on three pages. A service you dropped keeps generating calls you have to turn down.
Regular maintenance is mostly about catching those before a customer does.
How requests work
Call, text or email the change you want. Small edits usually go live the same or next day. Larger additions — a new service page, a new section — are quoted separately so there are no surprises.
Common questions
- Do I have to be on a maintenance plan?
- No. Plenty of sites are handed over and run fine. Maintenance is for owners who'd rather text a change than log in and do it.
- Can you maintain a site you didn't build?
- Often yes, depending on how it was built. Send the address and we'll take a look before quoting anything.
- What counts as a small change?
- Text edits, swapping photos, updating hours or prices, adding a gallery entry, fixing a link. New pages and new features are separate.
